It will offer a fresh look into the Wizarding World, which remains as prominent today, as it has ever been.
But, fans will have a long wait on their hands, with Warner Bros CEO David Zaslav admitting that the show wouldn’t be available to fans until at least 2026. The CEO also revealed that the bosses have been in constant conversations with J K Rowling surrounding the series.
Among the things that we do know about the show is the fact that there will be an entirely new cast, with stars such as Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson all not involved. But, sources have indicated that the casting process is well underway to find the title character and the main characters.
One of the most important characters to cast during this period will be Albus Dumbledore, who was played by Michael Gambon and Richard Harris in the eight films. Jude Law has also played the character in the Fantastic Beasts series. A number of eye-catching contenders have appeared in the betting.
Hugh Grant is probably one of the best known British actors that didn’t appear in the films, meaning that he should have an excellent chance of getting the role. However, Brian Cox could be the value angle after achieving huge success for his role in HBO series Succession.
