Before Betting on Hawks vs. Mavericks
For the moment, the Hawks have 22 wins and losses, and are on the verge of the play-in and the playoffs in the East. They lack that one push to go up, and it seems that Nate McMillan needs to shop on the market this winter to see his team in the postseason.
Though, we need to admit that the Hawks improved in the last week or two, winning four of the recent five clashes. Right now, they have three in a row, with the latest being at home against the Heat, 121-113. Dejuonte Murray had 28 points, while Trae 24.
Meanwhile, the Mavs are on a downhill, losing four of the previous five events, though, all of them were on the road, against pretty nasty rivals. They were only better than the Lakers in LA, following two OTs, but lost to the Thunder, the Clippers, and back-to-back events in Portland against the Trail Blazers.
In each of those two, Dallas allowed at least 136 points, and that’s not only due to fatigue but also minor injuries that almost all the players in Jason Kidd’s unit have. Luka is expected to play, yet Hardaway Jr., Finney-Smith and Greed are out for tonight’s event.

The Mavs are banged up, and we don’t think that Luka, alone, can lead them to a win here. Dinwiddie is solid, but simply, the Hawks have a more versatile attack and some matchups that might favor them. We would take the guests in this one, despite the odds that favor the hosts.
