The Group One action on Day 3 at the meet comes in the form of the Nassau Stakes, which overs a total distance of a mile and two furlongs, with fillies and mares aged three and older involved.

Emily Upjohn is a two-time winner in Group One company, and was last seen finishing a close second behind Bluestocking in the G1 Pretty Polly in Ireland. However, while that form reads well, she has to concede weight to some very exciting three-year-old runners this week.

Opera Singer is the chief danger now up in trip. The Aidan O’Brien runner was a close second over a mile at Royal Ascot behind Porta Fortuna in the G1 Coronation Stakes in June, and wasn’t beaten far in the G1 Irish 1,000 Guineas. Clearly a talent, and she could deliver a big prize over this new distance.

Richmond Stakes Offshore Odds & Picks

Horses aged two will compete over six furlongs in the G2 Richmond Stakes on Day 3 at Glorious Goodwood. This race has been won by some impressive types in recent memory, including the highly progressive Vandeek in 2023.

The Strikin Viking is the leading chance, according to the betting for the race, as he makes his first start for Hamad Al Jehani after leaving the Kevin Ryan stable. His second behind Henri Matisse in the G2 Railway Stakes looks to set the standard.

However, the preference is for Tropical Storm, who will be the ride of Oisin Murphy. The two-year-old was an excellent second in the G2 Norfolk on his last start, with the form being boosted. Up in trip this week, and appears to be open to further progress.
