King George Qatar Stakes Offshore Odds & Picks

The feature on day 4 at Glorious Goodwood comes in the form of the G2 King George Stakes. This race will cover a distance of five furlongs, with horses aged three and older set to go to post. Horses aged six have won three of the last four renewals.

However, that trend looks like it is under increasing threat by Big Evs this week. Michael Appleby’s Breeders’ Cup champion was a fine third on his latest start in the G1 King Charles III Stakes. Big Evs was a winner over course and distance when landing the G2 Molecomb Stakes last year. Tough to overlook.

The favorite is tough to overlook, but Starlust could be an improving contender. The three-year-old has form that ties in with Big Evs, and he has won twice from his three starts over five furlongs, including a listed success at York on his latest start.

Bonhams Thoroughbred Stakes Offshore Odds & Picks

The other graded race on the card on day 4 comes in the form of the G3 Bonhams Thoroughbred Stakes. This contest covers a distance of a mile, and a field of nine runners will go to post.

Al Musmak represents the Roger Varian yard, and he will be a firm favorite following his return to form on his last appearance. The three-year-old was excellent over a mile at Newmarket, marking a successful drop back in trip.

However, John & Thady Gosden have two strong chances this week. The preference is for Task Force for jockey Rossa Ryan. The three-year-old was a strong finishing seventh in the G3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot after finishing seventh in the G1 2,000 Guineas. Back up in trip, he will be the play.
