Just two players remain in the hunt for the women’s French Open title this year, and the showpiece match at the event will take place on Saturday morning. Iga Swiatek will be looking for a third success at Roland Garros, while Karolina Muchova will be making her debut in a Grand Slam final.

Before Betting On Iga Swiatek vs Karolina Muchova

Iga Swiatek has once again proven herself to be among the most dominant players on the WTA Tour on the clay surface. The Polish superstar will be chasing a third French Open title on Saturday, which would also be her fourth career Grand Slam overall. The 22-year-old has been excellent throughout her run to this stage of the competition, and she is yet to drop a set on her way to the final.

Swiatek has been able to effortlessly go through the gears when she has needed to do so throughout the French Open. That was evident once again in the previous round. She lost the opening game in her semi-final clash with Beatriz Haddad Maia, before storming back to win in straight sets. She has already eliminated some of the most competitive players in the event, and a huge challenge awaits Muchova this weekend.

However, Muchova is unlikely to be deterred by the performance levels of her rival this weekend, as the Czech star has done brilliantly to reach this stage of the French Open. She has become one of the lowest ranked players in history to reach the final at Roland Garros, and it has been an excellent return to form after a disappointing 18-month period suffering from injuries.

Her match against Aryna Sabalenka in the previous round will live long in the memory, as she came back from match point in the deciding third set to win each of the remaining five games to defeat the Australian Open champion. That level of performance will be required once again this weekend if she is to achieve what many consider to be impossible.

Muchova may have won the only previous encounter between the stars, but this will be a completely different proposition on the clay courts at Roland Garros. We find it extremely challenging to overlook the Pole, as we expect her to secure a third French Open title.
