Before Betting On Indianapolis 500
One of the most exciting motor races on the planet will take place this weekend, as the Indianapolis 500 serves as the undercard to the NASCAR action. A thrilling final few rounds of qualifying will be staged before the field are set for the 2024 edition, but it promises to be one of the most exciting that we have seen in recent memory.
Will Power will be among the leading contenders, and he boasts excellent recent experience at the Indy 500 after winning the prestigious event in 2018. Marcus Ericson could also have strong claims to break into the top ten on Sunday, despite the former F1 driver having failed to finish in the top 30 in qualifying.
Held since 1911, there have been some memorable editions of the race, with some of the most talented drivers in the road having landed victory. Josef Newgarden was the most recent winner of the race, becoming the first American since 2016 to land victory in the Indy 500.
Scott McLaughlin could only finish 14th in the race last year, but he holds solid claims after winning the Supercars Championship in every season between 2018 and 2020. He finished third in the IndyCar Series last year, and looks better value to improve on that performance in 2024.

Alexander Rossi could be the forgotten contender this weekend. The American won the race in 2016, and has finished in the top ten in all but two of his eight attempts in the Indy 500.
