Bears Looking To Continue Excellent Start
It has been an exciting start to the season for the Chicago Bears, as they have won all three games in the NFL so far. They opened the season with a brilliant 27-23 victory over the Detroit Lions, and they have followed up that success with two more hard-fought wins against the New York Giants and the Atlanta Falcons. The latter of those games was their most recent, as they claimed a 30-26 victory.
Chicago needed to come from behind to win that match, as they trailed following the first half. They went into the break with a 16-10 deficit to overturn. Things didn’t get much better in the third quarter, as the Falcons scored an unanswered ten points. However, the Bears came to life in the final quarter, as they scored an impressive 20 points without reply. Their touchdowns in the win were scored by Allen Robinson, Mitch Trubisky and Anthony Miller. Meanwhile, Nick Foles scored a hat-trick of touchdowns, while Jimmy Graham scored twice.
Colts Showing Impressive Performances
It wasn’t the best of starts to the new season for the Indianapolis Colts, as they were beaten 27-20 on the opening weekend by the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, they have bounced back since that opening defeat to win their last two games, which means that they go into the round of fixtures in second place in the AFC South. The first of those successes came against the Minnesota Vikings, as they won 28-11, before that was backed up with a commanding success against the New York Jets.
The Colts piled the misery onto the Jets in that fixture, as New York have now lost all three games to start the new season. Both sides scored seven points in the opening quarter, but the Colts began to flex their muscles in the second as they scored ten. That meant that Indianapolis went into half-time with a 17-7 lead. It wouldn’t get much better for the Jets, as the Colts scored 14 unanswered points in the third, before adding a further five in the final quarter to secure an excellent 36-7 victory.
Chicago Bears vs Indianapolis Colts Recent Meetings
The Colts won the last time that these two sides met, with that 29-23 success coming back in 2016. However, the Bears won the two meeting prior to that, which came in 2012 and 2008.
Indianapolis Colts @ Chicago Bears Pick
The Bears will be proud of their NFL record to start the season, but that could come to a swift end this weekend as the Colts have been improving every time that they have taken to the field this season.
