The shocking news comes from overseas, and it involves Jadon Sancho, one of the world’s most talented soccer players.
United Having Cash Problems
Jadon Sancho was already seen in Manchester United. The flamboyant winger and the two-time European champions were finalizing the deals per several reliable sources from the European media, and it was just a matter of time before the agreement becomes official.
United’s fans were euphoric because of this one, but it seems that they might experience one massive frustration in the next few weeks.
Apparently, the Red Devils are having some problems with finances, and they can’t pay a $145 million transfer fee to Borussia. Even though United is one of the biggest teams in the world, they too have some problems with money after the Coronavirus crisis.
All the incomes from sponsorship deals and various marketing activities have stopped, which is why the Red Devils now struggle to finalize the deal. If they don’t react fast in the near future, we could see the youngster changing the destination or even staying in Germany, which is a less possible solution though.
United could sell several of its players and then use those funds to complete the deal, but as we said, they need to react fast; otherwise, other clubs could jump in and snatch Sancho. Among those candidates are the local rivals who abruptly appeared in the stories yesterday.
Sancho to City?
The English media revealed that the player confessed to its close friends that he wouldn’t mind coming back to Etihad after three years of absence. Just to remind you, Sancho was a member of City’s youth academy, but in 2017, he refused what was at the time a record deal for one youth player in Man City and moved to Borussia.
It seems that all the misunderstandings from that period are forgotten and that the forward wants to come back home. City doesn’t have any problems with financial stability, but on the other side, they could be in trouble when it comes to their participation in European competitions.
UEFA suspended them for the next two years, and right now, the Citizens are in the process of appeal and are hoping that the sentence could be reduced.
If he comes back to Etihad, Sancho will become the leader of the new generation of players, the one who would stay there for the upcoming several years. He knows the system, the entire environment, and wouldn’t have any problems accepting the burden of playing for such a big club.
He scored 19 goals and had as many assists this season, proving he is one of the world’s most talented players.
Apart from teams from Manchester, several other major teams from Europe also want to sign him. Real Madrid was the first one to become interested, after him Barcelona, and most recently, Chelsea also made several inquiries. The Blues are Sancho’s favorite club, and they were hoping to play on that card, but will have to increase their offer following all these news.
