Jaguars Turning Things Around

Jacksonville (2-1) looks miles ahead of where they were last season at this time but after beating the Colts 24-0 and then taking down the Chargers 38-10 on the road last week the Jaguars face another huge test in the unbeaten Eagles (3-0).

Many people are calling Philadelphia the Super Bowl favorite in the NFC heading into the Jaguars Eagles week 4 matchup. Philadelphia is back at Lincoln Financial Field after a convincing 24-8 win in Washington last week. The Eagles dominated Minnesota 24-7 on a Monday in their only other home game this season.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence is making great strides in his second NFL season, going 25/30 with 2 TDS in the win over the Colts and 28/39 with 3 TDs last week against the Chargers. Philadelphia shut down the Minnesota passing attack in week two holding them to 202 yards – but Vikings QB Kirk Cousins is also notoriously bad in primetime games.

Holding the Chargers and Colts to a combined 10 points the last two weeks is an impressive feat for the Jacksonville defense, but Philadelphia comes into the week 4 matchup with the #1 offense in the NFL with 447 yards/game. What makes the Eagles so dangerous is their balance, running for 150.3 (7th) and passing for another 296.7 (3rd). QB Jalen Hurts has to be considered an MVP candidate at this point.

Jaguars Eagles Week 4 Prediction

There must be a lot of money coming in on the Eagles at MyBookie who has the highest ML on Philadelphia of any offshore sportsbook. The Jaguars are showing a lot of improvement this season, but it’s a tough ask to go to the West Coast and beat the Chargers last week and then head North to beat Philadelphia this Sunday – all while dealing with Hurricane Ian in your state all week. Nobody would blame the Jaguars for falling flat this Sunday so take Philadelphia by at least a TD.
