A couple of 4-7 teams meet up on Sunday when the Jacksonville Jaguars meet the Detroit Lions. This might have been the type of cold December day where Detroit would enjoy a home field advantage if they played outside, but Jacksonville leaving warm, sunny Florida for cozy indoor Ford Field should keep this as an even playing field.

Before Betting on Jaguars vs Lions

Both teams are playing well. Detroit had a 3-game win streak going before running into the buzzsaw that is Buffalo on Thanksgiving Day, although still giving the Bills all they can handle in a 28-25 Lions loss. Jacksonville has won two of three, including an impressive 28-27 win over Baltimore last week.

Trevor Lawrence looks like a real one for Jacksonville, rallying them back from a 9-point deficit in the 4th quarter last week to beat the Ravens. After throwing 12 TDs to 17 INTs last year in his rookie season, Lawrence has switched those numbers to 16/6 so he is progressing nicely. Detroit allows the most points (28.2) and yards (414.5) in the NFL so it should be another banner day for Lawrence.

You have to give Detroit credit, they hung with Buffalo on Thursday and this is a team that fights. Some of the losses for the Lions this year include 38-35 to the Eagles, 28-24 to the Vikings, 48-45 to Seattle, 31-27 to Miami, and most recently the 28-25 loss to Buffalo. Obviously the offense isn’t the problem for this Detroit squad – but that defense can be hard to watch.

Jaguars vs Lions Prediction & Pick

This side really could go either way, and the offshore books agree setting just a one point line. Flip a coin whether it’s going to be the Jaguars or the Colts that come out on top, but either way it’s probably going to be in a 28-27 or 34-31 type high scoring game.
