Our Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Shamil Gaziev prediction is that we’re going to witness an upset in the main event of UFC Fight Night 238. In the next part, we’re going to elaborate on why we think so, sharing some valuable insights to help you make the right betting decision for the March 2 heavyweight fight.

Before Betting on Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Shamil Gaziev

Shamil Gaziev started fighting professionally three and a half years ago, but he’s already established himself as a powerful force in the UFC Heavyweight Division. In fact, less than four months after making his UFC debut, he’s headlining an event. And he’s favored to win!

It’s all because he’s got a very good fight pedigree. He’s born and raised in the Russian Republic of Dagestan, famous for producing such MMA legends as Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev. These guys are famously incredible wrestlers and Gaziev is no exception. However, his strongest weapon is striking.

He’s 12-0 overall with his best performance happening in the fight with Martin Buday last December. He absolutely dominated the fight with an aggressive style of striking, so it really was a surprise that he didn’t finish his opponent before the second round.

But Buday is nowhere near as good a striker as Gaziev’s next opponent. Jairzinho Rozenstruik is 13-5 overall, but before becoming an MMA fighter, he had a successful kickboxing career with a record of 76-8.

The main reason why he’s seen as the underdog in this fight is that his recent UFC record isn’t great. He lost four of his last six fights, but there’s a caveat. He lost to fighters who are, let’s be real, much better than Gaziev – Cyril Gane, Curtis Blaydes, Alexander Volkov, and Jailton Almeida.

UFC Fight Night 238 odds favor Gaziev, but we think there’s going to be a surprise. We think Bigi Boy will stage an upset by inflicting Gaziev his first-ever loss in professional MMA.
