Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner are in the Wimbledon semifinals and the two clash this Friday afternoon on the central court of the All England Club. They already had one spectacular meeting here last season, once Sinner missed an opportunity to beat Novak despite leading 2-0 in the sets.

Before Betting on Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic

Sinner reached the semis having the easiest path of all the players who reached the top four stage. He didn’t have to play against any of the seeded participants, and even those whom he defeated weren’t grass specialists.

The Italian eliminated two Argentinians at first, Juan Cerundolo and Diego Schwartzman, in straight sets, before beating Quentin Halys in the third round, and Daniel Galan in the fourth. His latest victim was Roman Safiulin. Sinner’s first serve is only 56%, but he has 26 break points so far, playing superbly off the baseline.

Novak Djokovic had some troubles in the Round of 16 and the quarterfinals against Hubert Hurkacz and Andrey Rublev. He lost a set in each event but eventually kept his mental stability and beat the rivals. Nole’s schedule had been disturbed by rain, and he had to pause the match against Hurkacz due to the midnight before continuing the same the next day, which did disturb the Serb’s rhythm.

Djokovic had a tougher path than Sinner, having to play with Stan Wawrinka, for example, a three-time Grand Slam champ. He also met Pablo Cachin and Jordan Thompson in the opening two rounds. There isn’t much to say about his form, we all know that Novak came to London as the biggest favorite to win the title. And for the moment, everything is going according to his plan.

Sinner plays very good tennis, and his stats are pretty impressive so far. However, his rivals were mediocre. On the other side, Djokovic was properly tested, having pretty rough opponents in the last two rounds, which is why we would bet on his triumph.
