Kansas State (14-4) is tied with Texas Tech atop the Big 12 standings, but the Wildcats have a tough trip to Ames on Wednesday night to face #23 ranked Iowa State (14-4). The Cyclones haven’t lost a game at Hilton Coliseum all season (11-0) and return home after splitting games on the road with a couple of top 20 teams.

Before Betting on Kansas State vs Iowa State NCAAB

Iowa State suffered a big 15 point loss at #20 BYU, but were able to survive a 73-72 win at #19 TCU on Saturday which has to give them some vigor returning home to face the conference’s 1st place team.

ISU was able to break the 70-point barrier for the first time in three games against BYU and repeated that at TCU as well, which is a bright spot for a team known for it’s lock down defense. The Cyclones give up just 60.7 ppg which is 5th best in the country and opponents are shooting 39.3% against ISU which is 15th in the nation.

Iowa State has a great defense, but Kansas State thinks they have the offense to counter led by the red hot Arthur Kaluma. The Big 12 Newcomer of the Week made a handful of big plays in K-State’s 68-64 win over then #9 Baylor on January 16th and then scored the final 11 points of the 1st half before finishing with 23 in the win over Oklahoma State on Saturday. Kaluma isn’t even the Wildcats’ leading scorer, as that’s Cam Carter who averages 16.6 ppg.

Kansas State vs Iowa State NCAAB Prediction & Pick

The Iowa State defense can be stifling, but Kansas State has at least a couple solid scorers that can keep this game within +8 points, a spread that looks to be just a bit too high.
