The Minnesota Vikings (9-2) got back on track last week after their 40-3 loss to Dallas, bouncing back to beat New England 33-26. That Thanksgiving night game against the Patriots has the Vikings with a couple extra days of rest as they get set to host the New York Jets (7-4) on Sunday.
Before Betting on Jets vs Vikings
This is deja vu all over again for Jets fans, as QB Mike White led an upset 34-31 win over the Bengals last year in his first NFL start throwing for 405 yards and 3 TDs. White soon came back to Earth and was sent back to the bench. Last week White started for the ineffective / benched Zach Wilson and led the Jets to a 31-10 win over the Bears.
White was very good last week going 22/28 for 315 yards and 3 TDs, but that’s also a very bad Bears defense that has allowed at least 27 points in five straight games. Minnesota did give up 40 points to Dallas and New England had 364 yards passing last week so maybe the Vikings are a bit vulnerable on that side of the football.
Where Minnesota is not vulnerable is on offense, led by All-Pro WR Justin Jefferson who already has 81 catches and 1,252 yards – that’s a very good season and we’re only in the 12th game. New York believes they have the X-factor to stop Jefferson in #4 pick CB Sauce Gardner. Even if Jefferson is shut down a bit – which is a tough task – Minnesota still has a lot of other weapons.

Jets vs Vikings Prediction & Pick
This is a very tough game to handicap because although Minnesota has been solid at home (5-1), the Jets are also a very good road team (4-1). Gardner may be able to limit Jefferson’s productiveness on the outside – but the rookie isn’t that absolutely dominant and in a physical matchup may draw a lot of penalties. White looked good last week QBing for the Jets, but the Bears defense is basically Swiss cheese at this point. White is going to get a rude awakening inside a loud U.S. Bank Stadium and Minnesota takes this one big.
Pick: Vikings -2.5
