There’s perhaps nothing better for a team that has hit five grand slams in their last eight games like a trip to the hitter friendly Denver atmosphere at Coors Field. The ball could be rocking off the Brewers (50-34) bats on Monday night as the team has won six of their last seven. The Rockies (28-55) are hoping for a letdown game for Milwaukee, who is coming off a series win over their division rival the Cubs while Colorado just dropped two of three against the other team from Chicago, the last place White Sox.

Before Betting on July 1 Brewers vs Rockies

Milwaukee is getting some opportune hitting lately, with Brice Turang having two of the team’s recent five grand slams with Rhys Hoskins, Jackson Chourio, and Jake Bauers also each adding one. Sunday’s 7-1 win over the Cubs was the first time they tallied over 6 runs since June 7, so despite the Grand Slams the Brewers offense still isn’t blowing things completely open.

Austin Gomber will try to cool off the Milwaukee bats when he takes the ball on Monday, and there might be nobody in baseball that is happier to see the calendar turn to July than the Colorado starter. Gomber had a 0.68 ERA and the Rockies won three of his four starts in May, but that ballooned to 9.39 in June while Colorado was 0-5 when the left-hander started.

Bryse Wilson aims to get Milwaukee started on their road trip on a high note but he’s got a 5.31 ERA on the road this year compared to 2.16 at home – not great splits heading to Coors Field.

July 1 Brewers vs Rockies Prediction & Pick

Wilson has struggled on the road for the Brewers, but Milwaukee is still the much better team here and Gomber has had his equal share of hardship for the Rockies. The visitors have to be the play here.

Pick: Brewers -1.5
