Baltimore had a nice home stand last week, going 4-2 against the Phillies and Braves who are a combined 32 games over .500 on the season. After an off day Monday, the Orioles now set their sights on closing the 1.5 game on New York as they visit the Yankees in the Bronx for a three game set that begins on Tuesday night.

Suarez has been extending his work load pitching into the 5th in his last three starts, while only allowing 3ER over that span (15.1 IP).
Nestor Cortes (3-5, 3.59 ERA) has had a few rough starts lately with a 4.86 ERA through three June outings, but he’s back at Yankee Stadium where he has a 1.77 ERA compared to 5.57 on the road. Cortes started in Baltimore on April 30th and it wasn’t pretty, allowing 4 ER over 6.0 IP in a 4-2 New York loss. We shall see if being at home is a difference maker for the Yankees left-hander.
