If the Twins played the A’s every series they’d be cruising to an AL Central crown. Over the last two weeks Minnesota has gone 6-1 against Oakland, but they’re also 1-3 against other teams including Tuesday night’s 5-4 series opening loss to the Diamondbacks. The off day Monday did Arizona well, as they scored just a total of two runs on Saturday and Sunday in losses to the Phillies, but a 3-RBI night from Ketel Marte helped secure the series opening win for the D’Backs.

Before Betting on June 26 Twins vs Diamondbacks

The Twins have scored 6+ runs in seven of their last 10 games, but once again playing the last place A’s in two of their last four series’ has to be taken into consideration. Minnesota is still 7 games above .500 on the season which is currently good enough for the second wild card spot – obviously with a lot of baseball yet to be played this Summer.

The Diamondbacks had a respectable 3-3 trip to the East Coast, taking two of three against a Washington team that has been playing well and salvaging one game against the Phillies who are arguably the best team in the NL. Arizona (39-40) can climb back to .500 with a win on Wednesday night.

Minnesota got 6.0 IP from Joe Ryan on Tuesday and tied things up 4-4 in the top of the 7th before bullpen gave up the winning run in the bottom of that frame. Simeon Woods-Richardson (2-1, 3.26 ERA) will try to exit with a lead when he heads to the mound in game two at Chase Field. Woods-Richardson has completed the 6th inning in two of his last three starts, but both of those outings ended up being Twins losses

Ryne Nelson (5-5, 5.18 ERA) goes for Arizona on Wednesday looking to pick up a third consecutive win. Nelson has allowed 2 ER or less in three of his four starts this month as he’s seem to put some shaky outings earlier in the season in his rear view.

June 26 Twins vs Diamondbacks Prediction & Pick

Wednesday’s total is up a bit from the 7.5 that went ‘over’ in the series opener, but this should still be another good night for the respective offenses. Four of the last five Twins games have gone ‘over’ whether it be due to the Minnesota bats or their lack of pitching and the Diamondbacks have scored at least 7 runs in 4 of their last 7 home games.

Pick: Over 9
