St. Louis (40-37) had a four game win streak snapped on Wednesday in a 6-2 loss to the Braves, but this is still a Redbirds team trending upwards as they’ve won 7 of their last 10 to at least stay in the hunt with the Brewers (6GB) as the 2024 season reaches its midway point. The Reds (37-43) are headed in the opposite direction as losers of four straight series’ as they visit Busch Stadium for a four game weekend set.
Before Betting on June 27 Reds vs Cardinals
The Reds are struggling lately, but they’re actually 12-11 in June thanks to a 7-1 start to the month. This is the second series of the year between Cincinnati and the Cardinals with STL taking two of three at the Great American Ballpark at the end of May.
St. Louis tries to improve on 22-16 home record and they’ll do so if Brendan Donovan and Alec Burleson continue to stay hot as they’ve both hit over .500 the past week with 4 combined HRs. That’s picked up some of the slack from Nolan Arenado going 1-11 since his return from a forearm injury.
The Cardinals send out Miles Mikolas (6-6, 4.68) to the mound for the series opener trying to close out June with his fourth win of the month. Mikolas did allow 4ER over 6.0 IP on Saturday, but had plenty of run support in a 6-4 win over San Francisco. The right-hander had allowed 3 ER over 19.1 IP in his first three starts of June.
Cincinnati tries to turn things around behind lefty Andrew Abbott (6-6, 3.40 ERA) and he’s had a solid month going 3-1. Abbott did get rocked by the Cardinals at the end of May though – his worst outing of 2024 – giving up 6 ER in a 7-1 St. Louis win.

June 27 Reds vs Cardinals Prediction & Pick
That’s not a bad price tag at all on St. Louis at home against a Reds team that is not only in a bit of a rut, but also an under .500 team on the road.
