The worst team in baseball takes the field yet again on Thursday trying to break a 13-game losing streak when the White Sox (15-47) host the Red Sox (31-31) to kick off a four game weekend series. It’s a great opportunity for Boston to pick up a sweep and gain some ground in the wild card race while Chicago is just waiting for the knock from human resources because people are going to start losing jobs soon.

Tanner Houck (5-5, 1.85 ERA) gets the ball in the series opener trying to improve on the league’s third best ERA. The right-hander has allowed 1 ER or less in four straight starts.
Jake Woodford (0-1, 6.23 ERA) goes for the White Sox in his second start of the season, going 4.1 IP while allowing 3 ER in a 7-2 loss to Toronto last Thursday.
