After more than three years, the UFC is returning to Austin, Texas. Moody Center is the venue where UFC on ESPN: Kattar vs. Emmett will take place on June 18, 2022. Although there are no title bouts in the event, the headliner fight sure is getting a lot of attention in the MMA universe. The fight in question is a featherweight clash between Calvin Kattar (23-5) and Josh Emmett (17-2).
Before Betting on UFC on ESPN: Kattar vs. Emmett
Calvin Kattar is currently fifth in the UFC Featherweight Rankings, which is where he’s been competing since 2017. Since joining the UFC, he’s won seven fights while losing three. What’s interesting is that all of his UFC losses happened by decision.
It’s a similar situation when it comes to Josh Emmett, who’s been in the UFC since 2016, winning eight and losing two fights along the way. The best performance of his career happened in 2019 when he beat Mirsad Bektic by technical knockout in Round 1. Emmett earned the Performance of the Night bonus for that fight, which put him on the radar of MMA fans.
From there, he went on to win another two fights, but offshore sportsbooks believe his superb run will end this weekend. Emmett is seen as the underdog, with odds in the range of +200, which you can see in the section below.
