When mentioning AD, there were some speculations that he might miss the play-in game due to an injury, but the former top pick came back to demolish his former team. The Eyebrow had 30 points, 11 boards and 76.5% shooting from the field.
LeBron posted a triple-double in a 124-108 win, adding 28 buckets, 17 assists, and 11 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell continued with his solid performances. Not only did D-Lo play for 38 minutes, but he had 19 points making five threes. Austin Reaves was there to help with 20 buckets. Yet, what worries the fans is the very poor performance of the bench, which had 16 points combined.
The loss against the Spurs cost the Nuggets the top seed in the West. Though, that’s not so important right now for the boys from Colorado, with them having Jamal Murray back following a period during which he had problems with an injury. With him healthy, it’s much easier for the Nuggets to play.
Jokic is on his way to winning his third NBA MVP award, which says a lot about his form and play. He puts tremendous numbers – 26.4 points, 12.4 boards, and nine assists per game. It will be interesting to see another matchup between him and Anthony Davis again.
