The Lakers had a rough Sunday evening, and they will have an even worse Monday as they meet the Suns in Phoenix.

Before Betting on the Lakers vs. Suns

Anthony Davis is out for the Lakers, and the superstar center will be sidelined for at least a month, which is a terrible blow for the purple and gold. AD was fantastic this year, and among the top five players in the league posting 27.4 points per game, 12.1 boards while shooting 59.3%.

All eyes are not on LeBron. The Lakers won back-to-back games, three of the past four, with the last being against the Wizards, 119-117. LBJ had 33 buckets with nine assists, while Lonnie Walker added 21 points. Russell Westbrook was mediocre off the bench, with nine points, nine boards and eight assists.

The Suns had some injury troubles in the near past, and they have several players who are carrying minor health issues. Monty Williams’ crew lost three in a row, all away from home, before bouncing back and winning back-to-back events.

The first was in LA against the Clippers, 111-95, and the second against the Pelicans at home, 118-114. Devin Booker splashed 58 points against the Pels, having one of his best games ever, 21-for-35 FG with six boards and five assists. We need to add that the Suns played without Ayton and Johnson, and still got an easy win.

The Lakers are in problems without AD, who is, in our opinion, the best player in LA, and has been in the past, despite the publicity surrounding James. Meanwhile, the Suns are back home, ready to roll and post some victories in front of their crowd. So the Suns should be able to win and cover a 9.5-point spread.
