The new NBA season tips off on Tuesday night, and one of two games on the opening night will be in Los Angeles, where the Lakers visit the reigning champions, Golden State Warriors.

Before Betting on LA Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors

The Lakers come to San Francisco following four defeats in five preseason events. Despite that one win being against the Warriors at the Chase Center, the overall impression is that the purple and gold struggle a lot.

From our perspective, the unsolved situation with Russell Westbrook is a major problem for this organization, and the former NBA MVP isn’t happy in LA, and to be honest, the Lakers and the LA aren’t happy with him either. LeBron and AD looked well during the preseason, which is a positive thing for this unit, yet the lack of a proper point guard is a massive minus.

The Warriors had to travel to Japan to play some of their preseason games, then they had the Green-Pool situation, and overall, this has been a turbulent and active period for Steve Kerr and his staff. Three wins and two defeats are a decent record in the preseason events, with the note that the GSW lost the latest clash.

That was against the Nuggets at home, 119-112. The result wasn’t the primary concern for Kerr, who was happy to see two of his youngsters, Jonathan Kuminga and James Wiseman, posting very good performances, not only in this one but overall throughout the preseason.

The Lakers are not at the same level as the Warriors, and they were struggling against the stronger teams last year. Despite James and AD, this team isn’t a championship contender but more of a publicity magnet. Also, the atmosphere isn’t good in LA, which is another reason to pick the hosts.
