The fifth event on the LIV Golf League schedule to be held in the United States this season will be contested across the coming weekend. LIV Golf Greenbrier boasts a purse of $20 million in the individual event, with the competition forming the penultimate contest of the season before the Team Championship in Dallas.

The LIV Golf event in Greenbrier will be staged for the second time this year, with a talented field of high-class players competing for the sizable purse of $20 million. This event is held at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs in West Virginia, and it is co-sanctioned by the MENA Tour.

The field will compete over a total distance of 7,255 yards this weekend, with the par 70 event being contested in a stroke play format. There was a dominant winner of the LIV Golf event in West Virginia last weekend, as Bryson DeChambeau claimed a six-shot victory over Mito Pereira when finishing 23-under.

DeChambeau will once again have very solid claims this weekend, and he will need a positive performance to stand any chance of finishing at the top of the standings. The American is yet to win on the LIV schedule this term. Joaquin Niemann has been the picture of consistency throughout the campaign, finishing outside of the top ten on just two starts. He finished in a tie for second in the previous round.

Jon Rahm has also hit form as the season has progressed, with the American claiming victory in the recent event in the United Kingdom. Louis Oosthuizen also has interesting form claims this weekend after finishing in the top ten in each of the last two events. Cameron Smith has also finished in a tie for second in three of his last seven appearances.
