Liverpool have already enjoyed a productive week after securing their spot in the EFL Cup final after claiming a success over two legs against Fulham. However, their attention switches back to the FA Cup this weekend, as the Reds welcome Norwich City to Anfield on Sunday.

Before Betting On Liverpool vs Norwich

Liverpool continue to fight on four fronts this season, as they chase a memorable haul of trophies. The Reds have already secured their spot in the final of the EFL Cup this week, but they will be bidding to continue their hunt for a place in the latter stages of the FA Cup when Norwich City are the visitors to Anfield.

Liverpool’s record in this fixture is extremely dominant, as they are unbeaten in 18 clashes across all competitions since a 1-0 defeat on Merseyside in April 1994. Since that loss, the Reds have won 16 times and have been held to two draws. That means that it is their longest active unbeaten sequence against a single side in English soccer.

Norwich enjoyed early success against Liverpool in the FA Cup after winning three ties against the Reds between 1909 and 1951. However, that sequence has ended throughout the modern era, as they have lost each of the last three. Their most recent defeat came in the fifth round in 2021-22. When playing in the second tier or lower, Norwich have lost their last 12 FA Cup ties against top-flight opposition. Their most recent win was a 1-0 success against Stoke in January 1982.

However, Liverpool have underperformed against sides in the second tier throughout their recent history in the FA Cup. They have picked up just two wins in their last eight, losing on four occasions. Interestingly, three of their last four defeats at home in the competition have come against sides playing in the second tier.
