A spot in the College Football Playoff is on the line for Florida State (12-0) on Saturday night, even though a lot of people don’t want to see the Seminoles get in that spot as they are perceived to be a much lesser team after star QB Jordan Travis broke his leg in week 12. Louisville (10-2) would gladly do college football fans a favor and take FSU out of that equation as they aim for their first conference championship in 11 years.
Before Betting on Louisville vs Florida State
Travis is a huge loss, that’s the understatement of the season. The FSU QB had thrown 20 TDs to just 2 INTs this season but was also an experienced leader as a 6th year senior and a 3-year starter. Tate Rodemaker is his supposed backup, but he’s experiencing concussion-like symptoms after a hit to the head last week against Florida and is considered a game-time decision. Freshman Brock Glenn – who has thrown 4 passes all season – would be the starter if Rodemaker cannot go.
Make no mistake, Florida State has the running game and defense to carry them to a win and into the college football playoff, it’s just hard to get a victory over a good Louisville team being so one-dimensional. The Cardinals were hot too with a four game win streak, but last week’s 38-31 loss to Kentucky threw a wrench in their hopes for a top tier bowl game. An ACC Championship would put them right back on track though.

Louisville vs Florida State Prediction & Pick
This game is most likely not going to contain a ton of offense. FSU has a great defense giving up just 16.8 ppg (10th) so their QB injury isn’t going to affect that – but Louisville allowing 20.0 ppg (24th) while teeing off on either a freshman or a groggy Rodemaker who hasn’t practiced all week, will.
