Luana Pinheiro vs. Amanda Ribas is the only women’s fight on the UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Craig main card. It’s also the bout that will kick off the main card action on Saturday, November 18, at UFC Apex.
The main reason, however, why this is an interesting matchup is that Pinheiro vs. Ribas odds are fantastic, especially if you want to back the underdog.
Before Betting on Pinheiro vs. Ribas
Luana Pinheiro is 11-1 in her professional career with a 3-0 record in the UFC, which she joined after impressing in Dana White’s Contender Series 35. She’s a fantastic wrestler who’s got a black belt in judo and who was one of Brazil’s most prominent judokas a decade ago or so.
She’s also great when it comes to grappling, the evidence being that she’s got a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Pinheiro also has decent boxing skills as evident from the fact that she 3.86 significant strikes a minute on average in the UFC. That’s an impressive number, but Amanda Ribas is even better. She lands 4.73 strikes per minute.
Same as Pinheiro, she too is great when it comes to grappling and wrestling, and she also has a longer reach and possibly even more power than her opponent.
This explains why her UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Craig odds are in the ballpark of -230. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean she’s going to win.

In her most recent fight, Amanda Ribas got mauled by Maycee Barber. Even though Ribas landed two takedowns in that fight, Barber absolutely destroyed her with punches and elbows. We suspect something similar might happen on November 18 as well.
Ribas will probably manage to take Pinhero down, but who knows what might happen on the ground. Pinheiro is great on the floor, and she also punches very hard, so if she managed to finish her opponent, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise.
