A huge six pointer at the bottom of the Premier League standings will take place at Kenilworth Road on Saturday, as Luton Town continue their search for a first league win of the season. Wolves are the visitors as they bid to bounce back from defeats in their last two.

Before Betting On Luton vs Wolves

It has been a challenging start to the campaign for both Luton and Wolves, as both teams sit toward the bottom of the Premier League standings. Luton currently sit bottom of the 20 teams, as they have lost each of their opening four league matches at the start of the new season. Meanwhile, Wolves sit just outside the bottom three after winning once in their opening five fixtures.

This will be the first time that these two sides have locked horns in a top-flight fixture since the 1983-84 season. On that occasion, Luton landed a 4-0 home win, and claimed a 2-1 success on the road. Their defeat against Fulham last weekend saw them become only the second team in Premier League history after Swindon Town to lose each of their opening four matches as a top-flight team.

Luton will be aiming to avoid making unwanted history once again this weekend, as only five previous teams have lost each of their opening five matches at the start of the new season. Worryingly, three of the previous five also suffered relegation to the second tier after finishing bottom of the standings.

Wolves have already suffered four defeats at the start of the season. It is the third time in Premier League history that they have endured that start to the campaign after previously starting the season with the same records in both 2003-04 and 2021-22. However, they have allowed the most goals over the same fixtures as they have since the 2003-04 season.

This is a testing fixture to call this weekend. However, it could be worth siding with the visitors, as they are unbeaten in their last seven league matches against Luton. Over that period, they have won each of the last three.
