Man City will be looking to put some disappointing results behind them when they return to action on Saturday. Last season’s treble winners have lost each of their last three domestic fixtures, and Brighton will be the visitors to the Etihad on Saturday.

Before Betting On Man City vs Brighton

Man City will be looking to get back on track domestically this weekend after suffering three straight defeats. Two of those have come in the Premier League, which includes a loss against Arsenal before the international break. Those results have seen the reigning champions drop to third in the standings, but they could move back to the summit if they are able to pick up maximum points on Saturday.

City’s defeat against Arsenal saw the champions lose back-to-back games in the Premier League for the first time since the end of 2018. However, they haven’t lost three on the bounce since early 2016. Pep Guardiola has only suffered three league defeats in a row on one previous occasion during his managerial career.

Brighton will also be looking to kick on after they played out a 2-2 draw against Liverpool before the international break. The Seagulls have been one of the most exciting attacking sides to watch in the competition this term, as there have been 37 goals in their eight matches this term. That is the second-most of any side in Europe.

However, their record in this fixture may be challenging to overlook on Saturday. The Seagulls have lost ten of their 12 Premier League clashes against City, with their only win coming in the form of a 3-2 success in May 2021. Meanwhile, Brighton have never previously won an away league match against City, losing on each of their previous nine visits.
