  • Man United’s attacking woes
  • Jose Mourinho’s return
  • Andre Onana’s double save

Manchester United mustered up a less-than-inspiring performance as they drew 1-1 against former manager, Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, in the Europa League.

United took the lead in within 15 minutes, as Manuel Ugarte set up a counter attack and following an intricate passing move, Christian Eriksen calmly slotted home.

From here on out, United were on the back foot, Ugarte made a brilliant goal line clearance, before Andre Onana pulled out the acrobatics for a double save on the half-hour mark. A save so good it created a new Jose Mourinho highlight.

The Red Devil’s defensive resilience would fold less than five minutes into the second half. Former Newcastle United ace, Allan Saint-Maximin was given time to cut in out wide, where the Nigerian international lofted a ball for Yusuf En-Nesyri to nod home from close range.

United wouldn’t come close again as Fenerbahce controlled the rest of the game, with the only interesting point of not being that Mourinho got sent to the stands once again. The point leaves the Manchester club without a win in the Europa League after three games.
