It has been a morale-boosting period for Ruben Amorim and his Man United side over the last ten days or so.

The Red Devils fought to a 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League in the latest round of matches, while they produced another excellent display to eliminate Arsenal from the FA Cup at the Emirates on Sunday.

Southampton’s league form has been a major disappointment throughout the campaign, but they at least gained some momentum with an excellent FA Cup win over Swansea on Sunday.

It’s hard to overlook United’s dominant record in this fixture after going 15 without defeat against the Saints in the Premier League.

However, it could be worth noting that eight matches over that period have ended in draws. But, Southampton have suffered defeats in three of their last ten trips to Old Trafford.

Man United vs. Southampton Prediction

Man United have looked very confident in their last two matches against leading teams in England, but there will be an emphasis on their attacking qualities this week against a relegation-threatened rival.

It is incredibly hard to see the toothless Saints getting anything at Old Trafford on Thursday.
