The European champions, Manchester City, start the title defense against the Serbian champions, Red Star. The game is set for Tuesday night at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

Before Betting on Manchester City vs. Red Star

The hosts are without Kovacic and Grealish, but that will be fine for Guardiola, who has the replacements ready. We saw them against West Ham, with the Citizens beating the Hammers in London, 1-3. It was a routine triumph for the Treble winners and another display of their ruthless power.

City’s intentions are clear: to win another UCL title and to prove their dominance over the European continent. Even though De Bruyne isn’t playing, and Gundogan left Etihad, they currently look like the biggest favorite for winning another silverware, both in England and Europe.

Red Star rules Serbian football. The team from Belgrade was the 1991 European champion but is far away from that status now. They have been spending enormous amounts of money for Serbian conditions during the transfer window, yet they look pretty pale in the last few matches.

Barak Bahar, the Israeli head coach, can’t find a balance after the arrival of a few players, and it seems that the Serbs need time to build chemistry. The problematic part of the unit is its defense, which isn’t behaving well under pressure and makes mistakes.

The Serbian team was once a big name in Europe, but right now, they aren’t anywhere near such status. They have the help of the state and the political regime in Belgrade but can’t compete with City and other European giants. So, City’s confident win is something expected here, and anything else would be a major sensation.
