There is a busy round of midweek action in the Premier League this week. One of the standout fixtures will see Tottenham Hotspur travel to Manchester United, as two of the leading contenders for a finish in the top four clash at Old Trafford. Both sides have been very difficult to beat in recent weeks, which means that both sides will need to work hard to gain maximum points this week.

Before Betting On Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur

This looks set to be a crucial fixture in the battle to finish in the Champions League places in the Premier League this season, as United and Spurs are separated by seven points. United will need to get back to winning ways, as they were held to a 0-0 draw in their latest fixture by Newcastle United.

Meanwhile, Spurs will be looking for a third straight win this week, as they claimed a second straight victory in their previous match against Everton. Harry Kane opened the scoring in that fixture, before Pierre Hojbjerg doubled the advantage in the 87th minute.

United has a fine record against Spurs, as they have picked up wins in each of the previous three matches. Meanwhile, Tottenham hasn’t lost to an opponent more than Manchester United in Premier League history. However, this is a different Spurs side at present, as they have lost just once in their previous 16 fixtures in the league.

But, United will need to raise their level if they are to challenge for a Champions League finish this season, as they looked extremely poor in front of goal against Newcastle on Sunday. They can’t afford to miss as many clear goalscoring opportunities against a talented Spurs side on Wednesday.
