Before Betting on Mariners vs Angels Sept 16
The Seattle Mariners get nice scheduling in their quest to hold on to a playoff spot with a visit to the lowly Angels. That being said, LAA cannot be look past right now just because of how hot Mike Trout has been hitting a HR in seven straight games recently. Trout has a .349 average and 12 RBI over the last two weeks.
Seattle has a nice counter in the Mariners vs Angels matchup sending Robbie Ray (12-9, 3.56 ERA) to the mound. Ray was 3-0 with a 1.64 in August, one of the factors in Seattle being in a tie with Toronto for the AL wild card lead. Ray did give up 4ER over 5.0 IP in a 6-4 loss to the Braves last time out, but Seattle had won his previous five starts.
The Angels have struck out 30 times and have managed just 4 runs in three appearances against Ray this season. Therefore starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen (6-6, 4.70 ERA) shouldn’t expect a ton of run support on Friday night. LAA has lost 6 of Lorenzen’s last 7 starts.
Seattle comes into this game as winners of three of their last four. They are 28-9 in their last 37 on the road and 20-8 in their last 28 following a day off. The Mariners have won four straight in the head to head series but are also just 8-7 vs. the Angels this season.

Seattle is the obvious play here with Ray being dominant against LA batters this season. The big question is ML or run line? There’s solid value on the Seattle run line t Pinnacle (+109) and that’s the way to go here.
