The MLB season is heating up as the second month continues. This series features a matchup between the Seattle Mariners (24-20) and the Baltimore Orioles (27-14). Both teams rank near the top of their respective divisions. They’re aiming to build on newly-found success that has developed very recently over the past few seasons.
Before Betting on Mariners vs Orioles
The Mariners currently sit in 1st place in the AL West. Their division has been uncharacteristically poor to start the season, giving them an opportunity to claim the top spot. Seattle has only posted a +10 run differential through 44 games, but remains on pace to return to the postseason after a one-year hiatus. Though they rank 7th in the MLB in runs allowed, the Mariners have struggled offensively, currently 24th in the league in runs scored.
Baltimore dropped to a game behind the Yankees in the AL East this week, but remains the 2nd best team in the AL by record. After a second-half surge in 2022, the Orioles won 101 games last season as a still very young team. That has set them up to be successful again this year, which has been the case so far. The Orioles rank 4th in the MLB in runs allowed and 9th in runs scored, and continue to improve as the season progresses.
Mariners vs Orioles Offshore Odds
This series should be a competitive one between two teams with solid chances to make the playoffs this season. The Mariners has to travel a long way to get to Baltimore, giving the Orioles a marginal advantage. It is unlikely that either team sweeps this series, but Baltimore is more likely to win it. They should get off to a good start on Friday and pick up another win over the weekend.
