Dallas heads to Utah without several players, the most important being Luka, who won’t be able to appear at the Vivint Arena. So, Jason Kidd has massive problems ahead of this event. His team lost against the Warriors 119-113 at Chase Center two days ago.
Traded Finney-Smith with 18 points and Spencer Dinwiddie with 25 were more or less the best players in that one. Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 22 points, and Josh Green ended with 12. Kidd will face a shortened rotation, which means that Hardaway and Reggie Bullock need bigger usage and minutes.
Utah is playing good basketball, and this will be their fourth straight at home. They beat the Mavs and the Raptors in the opening two events before losing to the Hawks, 115-108, in their latest event. Utah was behind pretty much all the time, and this was one of their worst games in a while.
Three players scored 20+ points, Lauri Markkanen 25 and 10 boards, Clarkson had 24, and Mike Conley scored 20 with eight dimes. However, the Jazz’s defense wasn’t good at all, as well as their glass control, with the Hawks recording 52 boards.
