The Dallas Mavericks head for Phoenix to meet the Suns. These two units faced in the West semis last year, and there isn’t a better game for the season opener than this one.

Before Betting on Mavericks vs. Suns

The Mavs eliminated Phoenix after seven games in the recent playoffs, with Luka Doncic developing a very intense rivalry with Devin Booker. The Slovenian megastar will have more help this year, because his team now has Christian Wood, one of the better centers in the NBA, capable of dropping 20 points and recording ten boards, all while hitting high percentages from downtown.

The Mavs have Spencer Dinwiddie and Reggie Bullock, besides the veterans in Dallas, like Hardaway Jr. As you all know, this team is very good on the defensive side of the ball since Jason Kidd arrived, and they rely upon Luka and three-point shooting on the offensive side.

Phoenix added several players to add depth, but didn’t touch its starting five. Ayton got the extension he wanted, Booker, as well, and in the long run, this team is secured when it comes to these two players. Though, Chris Paul isn’t getting any younger, and the Suns feel the pressure of having to attack the title right now.

This unit is very versatile on the offensive side, but in the opening game, they won’t have Landry Shamet.

The line for this game is set at 216.5 points, which is under for us, because the Suns want to hit back at the Mavs, and will make this one a competitive game. For those who forgot, the Mavs won Game 7 of the West semis in Phoenix, and that still hurts the hosts.
