Cleveland was able to steal home court advantage in their Eastern Conference semifinal series thanks to a dominating 118-94 victory in Boston in Game 2. That edge was short lived however as the Celtics rebounded for a 106-93 win in Game 3 and now hold a 2-1 lead heading into Monday night’s Game 4 matchup.

Cleveland needs to find the formula that they had in Game 2, where 29 points from Donovan Mitchell led the Cavs to an outright win even as +13 point underdogs. Mitchell added 33 in Game 3 but he tweaked a knee injury that had bothered him late in the regular season and is now questionable for Monday’s contest. Cleveland has already been without Jarrett Allen (ribs) since Game 3 of the Orlando series so this is a team that could be very shorthanded.
Boston aims for the win and the opportunity to close the series out back at home in Game 5. The Celtics shot just 8-35 from three in the Game 2 loss, but hit 51% of their shots from the floor to get back ahead in the Best-of-Seven. Jayson Tatum was great on Saturday with 33 points and 13 rebounds and Jaylen Brown added 28. Tatum has averaged 29/10/6 the last two games of the series.

It can be somewhat hard to handicap Game 4 because the status of Mitchell is unknown. Mitchell has at least 29 points in each of the first three games of this series and is averaging 29.6 ppg in the series so his loss would be a huge one. Both of the Celtics’ wins in the semifinals have been by double digits and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Game 4 went the same way.
