Oklahoma City looked poised for a run to the Western Conference Finals after winning their first five games of the playoffs, but the Mavericks have won two straight semifinals games to take a 2-1 lead in the series. Dallas stole home court advantage with a 119-110 road win in Game 2, and defended it with a hard fought 105-101 on Saturday.

Before Betting on May 13 Thunder vs Mavericks

What’s even more impressive about the Mavs’ lead in the series is that Luka Doncic has been battling a knee and ankle injury. Doncic averaged 33.9 ppg during the regular season, but has a 19 and a 22 point game so far this series.

Dallas has shown solid depth with Doncic less than 100%, with Kyrie Irving having a couple 20+ point outings. It’s been P.J. Washington who has been the big surprise though averaging 28 ppg the last two while shooting 12-23 from three point range.

Oklahoma City had there chances on Saturday but even a 31/10/6 line from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander wasn’t enough to retake home court advantage in the series. Gilgeous-Alexander has back to back 30+ point, 10+ rebound games but Chet Holmgren has been held to 14.3 ppg.

May 13 Thunder vs Mavericks Prediction & Pick

Oklahoma City is down, but this feels like one they can get on Monday night. Williams can’t stay as hot as he’s been for Dallas and the Thunder are, after all, the #1 seed in the West.

Pick: Oklahoma City +1
