While it may not feature any perennial playoff contenders, Wednesday’s Rockies vs A’s contest is the type of under-the-radar game that bettors love. Tuesday’s series opener was entertaining, with each team hitting 3 HRs before the A’s finally finished off a 5-4 victory.

The A’s are favored on Wednesday despite Colorado looking they have the pitching advantage. Oakland’s Mitch Spence takes the mound for just his second MLB start after making 11 relief appearances so far in his rookie year. The right-hander did allow just 1 ER over 4.2 IP last Friday against a red hot Kansas City team so maybe he does give Oakland an advantage in this spot.
Austin Gomber (1-2, 3.02 ERA) is red hot this month with just 1 ER allowed over 18.2 IP (3 starts). He has dropped his ERA from 4.50 at the end of April and has a 2.86 ERA in four games away from Coors Field this season.
