Before Betting On Men’s Olympic Tennis

Exciting tennis action will be staged across the summer this year, with the top players on the ATP Tour competing for the gold medal. It will be the first time since 1992 in Barcelona that the event will be staged on a clay surface, with the French Open set to be a key form line to consider when making wagers on the men’s Olympic tennis market.

Tennis was first included on the men’s program for the Olympics in the inaugural edition of the competition, but it was dropped ahead of the 1924 Olympics. It made its full return to the Games in 1988, allowing professional players to be involved in the competition.

Some of the finest players on the Tour have won the top prize throughout modern history, with Andy Murray winning back-to-back gold medals in 2012 and 2016. The Scottish star representing Team GB has made it clear that he will be targeting a historic third gold this year.

Rafael Nadal is the king of the clay courts in France, but the Spanish star has been impacted by injury issues throughout this season, which also led to an exit in the opening round at the French Open.
