The Men’s Grand Slam season comes to a close in September, as the winner of the US Open 2022 will be crowned. Once again, it will be an exciting event in New York City, as the world’s best compete for the final Grand Slam of the season. Before Betting On Men’s US Open 2022
Despite having his back against the wall for long periods at SW19, there was a familiar face lifting the famous trophy at Wimbledon in the summer. Novak Djokovic managed to see off Nick Kyrgios and win a seventh Wimbledon title, and he will be hoping that he can end the year with success at Flushing Meadows. However, he could have his chance taken away from him, as he will be relying on a COVID exception to participate, as Serbian still hasn’t committed to having the jab against the virus.
Daniil Medvedev is the second choice in the betting. He was forced to miss Wimbledon, after SW19 organizers didn’t allow players representing Russia or Belarus participate. Medvedev is the defending US Open champion, and has reached the final twice in the previous three years. In fact, four different players have won the previous four editions of the Grand Slam.
Rafael Nadal and Alexander Zverev are also both prominent in the betting, but it is unclear whether either will be able to participate at the US Open. Both players are currently out with injuries. Dominic Thiem won the Slam in 2020, beating Zverev in five sets. Meanwhile, Nadal has won the US Open twice since 2017, and four times in total throughout his career.
