The crucial second legs in the CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinals will take place early this week. The expected nations all took advantages from their first legs, but they will need to keep their calm as they complete the drop in the second legs this week. However, Mexico will look to overcome a 2-0 defeat in their second leg when they come up against Honduras.

Before Betting On Mexico vs Honduras

While many of the quarterfinal ties in the Nations League went the way that many expected, there could be a huge shock in this tie between Mexico and Honduras. A massive shock result occurred in the first leg between these sides, as Honduras claimed a stunning 2-0 home success against their North American rivals.

It was nothing less than they deserved in that fixture, with Anthony Lozano opening the scoring, before Bryan Rochez completed the action with 20 minutes remaining. Honduras were excellent in that success, as they looked menacing on the counter-attack throughout the tie after registering six shots on target from 12 efforts.

Mexico will have a huge challenge on their hands this week, as they look to come back from the brink of elimination. It was an underwhelming effort in the first leg by the nation, as they failed to create much in the final third. However, they did boast the majority of the possession, but limited quality in the final third would have been a massive concern.

But, it could be challenging to bet against Mexico responding this week, as they will play with home field advantage for the second leg. Their home record against Honduras is extremely dominant, and that could be a trend worth considering before making picks for the winner in 90 minutes this week.
