He and Rudy Gobert will have a tough task: stopping Nikola Jokic. From what we saw, they were excellent against the Suns and headed into this matchup with high confidence.
Meanwhile, the Joker dominates the playoffs, and he is the guy with the best stats up until this point. The Serb has 28.2 points, 16.2 boards, and 9.8 assists, playing around 40 minutes each night. But more than that, he is composed and poised, keeping the entire team calm in the moments when the game is on the line. There is no panic with him onboard, and we saw that against the Lakers, when the Nuggets led 25% of the time during the series.
But it is easy for him to stay cool with Jamal Murray. The Canadian has 23.6 buckets each night, and two closed matches vs. Lakers. He and Jokic split the roles excellently, with Murray being the clutch and Jokic the motor. Of course, there is also Michael Porter Jr. who drops 22.8 points, and is a silent assassin, executing and playing under the radar.
