Denver Nuggets must make some adjustments; otherwise, their quest for another title will end. Timberwolves showed their quality, and proved wrong all of those who think they are only Anthony Edwards. Ant did destroy the Nuggets, but one other player was an X-factor here.

Before Betting on the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets

Naz Reid shocked everyone in the final quarter of Game 1, taking over the offense and creating massive problems for the hosts. Reid scored 14 points in the last 12 minutes, and his T-Wolves won 106-99. He eventually had 16 in this one coming off the bench.

Edwards dropped 43 on the Nuggets, shooting 17-for-29 and grabbing seven boards. There was no way for the Nuggets’ defense to slow him down that night. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 20, while Mike Conley had 14 with 10 assists, perfectly orchestrating the offense.

Meanwhile, Denver wasn’t prepared for Reid. Even with Edwards on fire, Jokic and the boys were holding well. Another issue was Jamal Murray who had only 17 points with one board and four assists. He was extremely inferior against Edwards and the guys.

Jokic did his stuff, having 32 points, nine assists and eight boards, while Michael Porter Jr. had 20 with six boards. Aaron Gordon had three rebounds, and in general, the Nuggets had a hard time controlling the glass, recording only 34 boards, eight fewer than the rivals.

It’s do or die for the Nuggets. As stated, we feel that the Timberwolves played almost a perfect game, while Denver had a sub-par performance. Still, we won’t bet on the hosts to win, but on under 207, which is the line right now. We expect a much tougher approach from the Nuggets and, as a consequence, fewer points.
