After the epic game Sunday Night in Houston, the Astros are just a game away from winning the 2017 World Series. What a series it has been thus far, with the Astros leading 3-2 over the Dodgers. This game will feature Justin Verlander for the Houston Astros against Rich Hill of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Houston Astros are +105 over the Los Angeles Dodgers for this game.

Astros Seeking to Ride Momentum

The Houston Astros came from down 3 runs twice in the win on Sunday, and scored 13 runs. Houston has been bombs away, hitting baseball’s out of the park all postseason. The likely American League MVP Jose Altuve has been red hot in the postseason, hitting .344 to lead the team. Altuve has blasted 7 homeruns and drove in 13 runs batted in this postseason.

Yuli Gurriell has had a massive postseason as well, with a .328 batting average. Carlos Correa leads the team with 14 runs batted in, while 23 year old Alex Bregman has drove in 10, including the game winner on Sunday. Houston led all of Major League Baseball during the regular season with 896 runs, and a .282 batting average.

Dodgers Must Bounce Back

Dave Roberts and the Los Angeles Dodgers know they must bounce back, and the good news for them – they are going back home. Home has been kind to the Dodgers, with 57 regular season wins, and just one postseason loss at home. The Dodgers in the postseason are 9-5 while eliminating the Diamondbacks and Cubs.

Los Angeles in their last 7 wins in the postseason have allowed a combined  8 runs. Offensively, the Dodgers are starting to see their likely Rookie of the Year Cody Bellinger heat up. Bellinger had several big hits over the last two games, but in the postseason, he is hitting just .250. The top offensive threat this postseason has been Justin Turner, with 4 homeruns and 14 runs batted in, but he has struggled in this series.

Dodgers Survive and Advance

The Los Angeles Dodgers must win on Tuesday to stay alive on Wednesday. What a game this is lining up to be after one of the best World Series games of all time on Sunday. We have two good pitchers on the mound, and both have had good postseasons. The first battle between these two was won by the Houston Astros in 11 innings. Verlander made his worst outing of the postseason in that game with just 3 runs allowed in 6 innings.

Rich Hill in that same game just went 4 innings, allowing 3 hits and a run. Just like Sunday Night, the bullpen lost that game late, as Brandon Morrow and Kenley Jansen allowed late runs. Brandon McCarthy took the loss in that game. This is going to be a great game, but with the Dodgers back at home, look for their bats to get going. The Dodgers force an epic Game 7 on Wednesday. Take the Dodgers.
