After a pause due to the League Cup, the MLS League is again on our menu. The opening match of the second part of the season is between Minnesota United and Seattle Sounders, who met in the Leagues Cup a few weeks ago.

Before Betting on Minnesota United vs. Seattle Sounders

United didn’t play much in the Leagues Cup, and it was eliminated during the group stage. They had one win and one loss, which placed them in third place behind the Sounders and Necaxa, thus terminating their participation in this competition.

United is in a tough spot. They are in the play-in zone but only two points ahead of their rivals. On the other hand, Seattle is their main rival for the playoffs and has four more points.

The Sounders are under pressure here too. Portland trails them by just one point, and Seattle needs to stay unbeaten here. The margin for error is very thin now, and it will be even thinner as the finish of the season approaches.

Seattle reached the quarterfinals of the Leagues Cup, where they lost to LA FC, 0-3, beating Minnesota, LA Galaxy, and UNAM Pumas along the way, and also losing to Necaxa in the group stage.

Minnesota United vs. Seattle Sounders Head to Head

The meeting in the Leagues Cup ended 2-0 in Seattle’s favor with Morris and Rothrock netting in the finish of the match. They both assisted one another as well. The same result was seen in the MLS game in Seattle in June, 2-0, and the scorers back then were the same.

Minnesota has no other option but to attack, and they will have to be open and aggressive right from the kickoff. Seattle has proven its quality before, beating United twice. Therefore, this match should bring plenty of excitement and at least a goal on each side.
