Before Betting On Cook Out 400

The eighth race on the NASCAR schedule this season takes place at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday. The Cook Out 400 has been staged annually since 1950, and it is one of two races during the season to be staged at the Virginia track. This year’s edition of the race will be the third edition to be staged over 400 laps, with the race cut in distance beginning in 2022.

A total distance of 210.4 miles will be covered by the drivers in action this weekend, with the opening stage seeing the first 80 laps contested. In the second stage, 100 laps are contested, with the final stage seeing the remaining 220 laps completed. Richard Petty is the most successful driver in the history of this race, landing victories on nine occasions.

Kyle Larson landed victory in the Cook Out 400 last season for Hendrick Motorsports, marking the second straight year in which the team had landed victory. Larson has already claimed one race win this season, and he sits second in the overall standings after finishing third in the Toyota Owners 400 last weekend.

Martin Truex Jr has an excellent record in this race. But, despite sitting top of the Drivers’ Championship, he is still yet to land a race win this season. Denny Hamlin could have obvious claims this weekend after winning two of the last three races to move up to third in the Drivers’ Championship.
