The end of the regular season is edging ever closer in NASCAR, and all eyes this weekend will be on the streets of Chicago, as the Grant Park 165 is staged. You can find out more about the event, and our latest picks for the Cup Series race below.

Before Betting On Grant Park 165

One of the most exciting NASCAR events of the season will take place across the coming weekend, as the Grant Park 165 is staged on the streets of Chicago. This race is the only stop on the schedule in which the action takes place on a street circuit, and it comes at a pivotal stage of the campaign with just six regular season races remaining after this weekend.

The race was added to the NASCAR schedule for the first time in 2023, with drivers competing on the streets of Chicago for the first time. A total distance of 165 miles is covered in the race, with 75 laps of the circuit being completed. The first stage consists of 20 laps, before the next 25 laps make up the second stage. Meanwhile, the final 30 laps make up the final stage.

There was a shock winner of the race in 2023, with Shane van Gisbergen claiming victory in the first edition of the race. However, there is likely to be a more familiar driver standing at the top of the podium this weekend. The battle at the top of the standings is taking shape at this stage, with Kyle Larson keeping his rivals at arm’s length after his eighth-place finish in the Ally 400 last time out.

Neither of the two drivers below him in the standings were able to cut away at that advantage last weekend, with Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin finishing in 18th and 12th, respectively. Joey Logano was the big winner last weekend, as he reignited his playoff hopes with a win in the Ally 400.

A street race brings with it some new questions for the drivers on the NASCAR grid, meaning that there could be a number of drivers with leading chances. We are prepared to take a chance on Brad Keselowski this weekend, as he has been driving consistently throughout this campaign.
