A big Eastern Conference matchup is on at the Gillette Stadium, where New England Revolution hosts Atlanta United. The hosts are third in the MLS East standings, while Atlanta sits two spots behind, with two points fewer.

Before Betting on New England Revolution vs. Atlanta United

The Revs had been beaten the previous Saturday by the New York Red Bulls on the road, 2-1, losing for the first time since late May and seven consecutive meetings. Bruce Arena’s boys haven’t been confident during this streak, winning only three games and posting four draws.

In the past seven meetings the Revs had, six ended with both teams hitting the back of the rival’s net, while on the other side, nine saw over 2.5 goals in the past ten. Unlike previous years, New England is playing a more efficient and offensive-minded football.

The Five Stripes have lost the pace recently, following a series of excellent results, but also, managed to bounce back and post two consecutive victories, against the Philly Union and Montreal, both with clean sheets, which wasn’t the case in the past that often.

Atlanta’s victory over Montreal in Canada is the first one for United on the road, after nine in a row in which they haven’t posted a triumph, and comes as a massive boost before Wednesday’s event. We have to say that United didn’t play some extraordinary football in Montreal, but they deserved to beat the hosts.

The Revs have been much better at home than on the road, and their game is more offensive-minded at the Gillette Stadium. They have plenty of absent players, and that’s a problem, one that might reflect on the overall performance. Atlanta comes in flying high after two wins in a row, searching for their chances too. In general, the most logical bet here is for both teams to score, as that usually happens when these two sides hit the pitch.
